Root tip resection
This operation is a surgical treatment that allows for the preservation of teeth whose roots have been damaged by inflammation.
3 – 4 mm of every root tip is cut off and removed together with any other effects of the inflammation, i.e. cysts. The tooth is fully functional after a successful treatment and can be used for tooth replacement.
We will perform this operation using local or general anesthesia or sedation (a sedative injected intravenously).
If it is necessary to fill a root canal via the root tip, we have a surgical microscope at hand.
