Our special field of implantology: implants – a modern alternative
Today, implants constitute an inherent part of contemporary dentistry. Implantology serves both functional as well as aesthetic aspects. Implants look perfect. No other denture can compete with this kind.
An implant is an artificial tooth root made of titanium or ceramics that is surgically inserted into the jaw bone. The materials are biologically neutral and are therefore well accepted by the organic tissue. As a novelty, they provide the opportunity to really substitute a tooth and thus reestablish the functionality and feeling of own teeth.
Another application field of implants is prosthetics. Implants stabilize removable prostheses and serve to maintain the jaw bone. The prosthesis is easily removable for daily cleaning purposes.
The fixation technique used with implants spares you all the annoying concomitant features such as painful pressure sores or the need for adhesive media. The prosthesis remains fixed while speaking, laughing and eating.
